I like caring for seniors because making someone smile makes me happy. I know how big of a role a caregiver is, and if I can help out someone's family member, friend, or save someone from feeling lonely, that means the world to me. The world needs more kindness.
With experience as both a company-employed and independent caregiver, I’ve seen the powerful difference that consistent, caring visits make in the lives of seniors. My personal connection to caregiving deepened when my aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at age 55. Through that journey, I witnessed the dedication and emotional strain family caregivers experience—something that continues to inspire my mission to provide meaningful support for both seniors and families.
My mission for No Senior Left Behind, LLC is simple but powerful - making sure every senior has regular social visits so no one feels isolated or forgotten. Research shows that about 1 out of 3 seniors feel lonely. Loneliness increases the risk of dementia by 50%, heart disease by 29%, and premature death by 26%. The impact of stress on caregivers is that nearly half (47%) report an increase in anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues within the last year, a rate 62% higher than non-caregivers. NSLB, LLC is a proactive preventative measure to keep senior citizens at home longer, and decrease caregiver burnout.
